Arthur joined the Board of Hope Is Hear in October of 2021 with a desire to help individuals suffering from mental illness, specifically Bi-Polar disorders.  As an avid world-wide traveler, Art has consulted on this topic with staff at the Institute of Psychology and Neuroscience at King's College London to source multiple thoughts on how best to help tackle supporting people with this disorder.  

Arthur is President of AEK Group LLC, a financial consulting firm.  He has 40 years of Finance, Banking and Accounting experience in both the Private and Public sectors.  Prior to the establishment of his financial consulting firm, Art most recently was a SVP and Director of Balance Sheet Management at HSBC.  He is an accomplished Financial Management Executive with expertise in Portfolio Management, Balance Sheet Management and Investments.  As a results oriented leader, he has focused on strategic investment leadership and managing financial complexity, working for multiple Banking and Consulting firms.  

As a firm believer in making no small plans, Art obtained his Masters degree (MBA) from Chicago Booth and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting at the University of Illinois, Champaign.  He them became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Bank Auditor (CBA).  

In giving back to the community, Art has supplemented his successful corporate career, by tutoring and teaching Math to the young minds of the future at multiple Mathnasium locations and several School Districts in the Chicagoland area.  He has also volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged Chicago Public School students and is proud of his and his families support and contributions toward the H Foundation, a charity supporting cancer research.
